Meet the Photographer

My name is Diana Raian Brooke.

I have been enamored by photography since the very first time I got my hands on a disposable film camera as a child. I loved taking photos of my dogs and plants around the yard. Growing up I always found it hard to connect with other people. I was always shy, awkward and felt like everyone was judging me all the time. Photography was a fun outlet. One that I apparently was good at.

When I first started doing portraits of my friends I found out how much I love to make other people feel good about themselves. Something I had always struggled with myself. I remember the first time I showed a friend a picture I had taken of them and they immediately exclaimed "Oh my god, that's me!?!" It felt so good to help someone else feel beautiful when they were feeling awkward and shy in front of my camera that I knew I wanted to continue to make people feel that way. I love inspiring confidence in other women around me.
